In 26 days my youngest son will become a married man. I will not be losing a son. I will, once again for the fourth and final time, be inheriting a most wonderful in law. I have decided it is time for Phillip to get 'the talk.' Yup, the facts of life talk. And since I never gave this talk to the others when they married I decided to kill 4 birds with one stone. Yes, Matthew, Jonathan, Alizabeth and Phillip ready or not here it comes. The facts of life from A to Z! One letter a day.
A....
Accountability: Accept it! Own it! Acknowledge it!
Attitude: "Life is 10 % what happens to you and 90 % how you deal with it."
Adversity: Be grateful for it. Embrace it. It provides an opportunity for growth.
Anger: A deadly toxin for the body and soul. Resolve it quickly.
Angels: What grandpas and grandmas are blessed with for not killing their teen age children!
Hope you haven't bitten off more than you can chew! I want to see you make it to Z. I love that you saved Angels for last. Great definition by the way.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds eerily familiar. It reminds me of Lehi giving his family his fathers blessing before passing on to the next life. I know you have been dying your hair to cover up the natural snow white color for the past upteen years but it never dawned on me that you were beginning to whisper some last minute "motherly advice" . . . before ya know . . . before . . . ya kick . . . your last son out.
